May 29 Friday. Had the pleasure meeting on the pond with Gillbuster for coffee. Every once in a while someone comes into your life that you admire. Gillbuster is an Air Force veteran, gentleman, fly tyer and fisherman. Anytime you can share time with a friend,

it is a blessing. Friends are God's gift to us.
I was a little disappointed with the weather. Wind was suppose to be light. It kept blowing and changing direction. Still it was a joy to be on the pond. John was in his kayak and I in the canoe. I didn't want to crowd him so I kept my distance. I just watch John using his new addition a beautiful 9 ft Shakespeare glass rod with 10 wgt line. People today have no clue what a rod is suppose to do. It was a pleasure to see power generated from the grip through the rod throwing a nice tight loop. So sad to see stiff graphite tip action with the angler doing all the work.
We did pick up a few bass and pickerel. I glanced over I saw a tremendous arc in John's rod, I paddled as fast as I could. I knew he was into a good fish. Hr landed the fish. Look at the smile on John's Face. Congratulations on a fine catch.
Here is a shot of a pickerel I caught, see the smile on the fish's face - I dare you, double dare you - triple dare you - use your fingers to take the bug out. No way!!!
Gillbuster thanks for a wonderful day on the bass pond. You da man.
