Hello All- Here is a pattern I use for river smallies up here in Minnesota. The body is Waspi Palmering Chenille--palmered closely. Top is a black rabbit zonker. I use a Mustad size 2, 33903 kink shank hook. The bead chain sits perfectly in the kink. A very basic streamer that is killer for smallies that are feeding on bait fish. FRD

That is a neat looking streamer pattern... I bet the skidder looks realistic as heck in the water...do you have instrctions on tying it? Thanks for sharing

Thread: 6/0 White Eyes: Large Bead Chain Body: Waspi Palmer Chenille White Flash. (I love this material...) Upper Body/Tail: Black Rabbit Zonker Super easy to tie, but deadly for smallmouth on the Mississippi up here in Minnesota. The rabbit strip brings the fly to life and the long Palmer Chenille is just fantastic. Offers some flash and swims nice too. Bead chain eyes get attached in the kink of the hook. Ole' Joe Cornwall showed me that trick on a FFO pattern, works great. I also use dumbell eyes if I can fishing in a fast current. Hope it works for all of you. FRD
