I picked up a small bass on a foam beetle yesterday with fairly calm winds it was hard to resist trying the foam terrestrials again though I fear that season is quickly coming to end. I was fishing a small river nearby the other day when I kept hearing this suttle but distinct noise behind me. When I finally honed in on its source it was a large Grasshopper on the tip of a tall poison ivy bush eating the berries on the bush. His markings were very much the same as the woody stem of the bush he was on and difficult to see but the loud crunching gave him away. Probably should have tossed him on a hook and sent out in the river but since he was eating poison ivy berries he was safe from me
