I fished a small pond. Wind from the west slight breeze, then died down. Using glass rod and fancy dragon fly took nice pickeral and bass. I was fishing the
northen section of the pond, as it got dark with fading light, I paddle to south side very weedy. I have to tell the truth - my search technique in little time
is spinning with Jitterbug that I have fished with fifty so years. The noise this lure makes just bring fish to the surface. I LOVE SURFACE fishing. I took
three four pounders est. a five and close to six pounds I had trouble reading the bogagrip with fading light. Last photo is the full moon in back ground over
the fish. Last night armed with just fly rod I went to another pond and got skunked. Bluegills and Crappie feeding through out the pond on small midge flies
natural size 24, 26 ??? I thought the bass would be on the pan fish. I did have some enjoyment seeing wild Canada Geese flying at night and landing in the
pond. Probably ten different flocks landing WOW.

Armand,
Holy Crap!!! Nice bunch of Bass "I took three four pounders est. a five and close to six pounds" I bet you slept good that night.... You just can't beat a Jitterbug In some ponds, it should be illegal to use them.... WTG Bass Meister! The water seems to be cooling some at night and I was afraid that would turn off the night bite.... I guess not!!!! Tightlines Gillbuster |

From now to about Sept 15 | #2 | ||

Bass with heavy weed and pad cover become very active 1 1/2 hours until dark for surface action. After Sept 15 during the day but things slow down.

Those pictures are enough to make me put away the flyrods and dig out a spinning rod and some jitterbugs. Nice fish!
