I don't know if any of you guys have picked up the summer issue of Fly Tyer. But i picked up at Barnes and Nobles cause my guide in maine said i should
take a look at it. So i was flipping through the pages and i saw a killer mouse pattern. I know i love fishing mouse patters on the banks of ponds by the lilly
pads. Anyway they usally use it for huge brown trout but i figured that this pattern would catch some killer LMB. I dont have the tying instuctions but here is
what the fly looks like. If you want the tying instructions take a look at the summer fly tying magazine and you'll find it in there.
Hooks: Two Tiemco TMC8089, size 6, or Mustad 3366, size 2 hooks.
Thread: White 3/0 (210 denier) and brown 3/0 (210 denier).
Tail: Small rubber band.
Legs: Small rubber bands or round rubber legs.
Body: White crosscut rabbit strip, and natural rabbit Zonker strip.
Back: Tan or brown 2-millimeter-thick closed-cell foam.
Nose: Black Sparkle Dubbing or a similar type of dubbing.
