Went out 3:30 am until 9 am., fished the 3rd shift , 5 mph NW wind, no moon... Fished a pond that I have good luck in years past but no top water hits during
the night, very strange...water was like glass....once dawn hit, the Bluegills and White bass were everywhere... couldn't buy a bass strike... a local bass
tournament started at 6 am with big bass rigs tearing up the water and then the jet skis came out in full force and everything shut down.. I did manage one
fair sized Large Mouth on an olive woolly bugger... shad/herring were jumping all over the coves I was fishing... I couldn't get what ever was chasing them
to take a fly....I think all the rain and high water has changed the bass feeding pattern
Fish went 2.5-3 lb gave me a good Bass tow in the kayak, went from the shoreline to deep water and turned me around 180 degrees
Bass with a Green booger hanging out it's mouth...
Fish on the Dark Side, the quest continues.....
