Welcome to "da Pond" Blugill!!! You have come to the right place to ask questions about warm water fly fishing....Well, I am sure many of the other Bass Pond members can chime in.... but, I would say my first choice would be a old reliable "woolly bugger".. Here is a link to this fly setup/tying instructions and there are many variations to this fly....but the woolly bugger will catch everything type of fish that swims http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to/video/how-to-tie-a-woolly-bugger-for-fly-fishing-119640/

Thanks a lot im very familiar with the woolly bugger. im a avid trout fisherman but its a 30 minute drive to the closet trout stream, but a five minute walk to
the closet bass pond. so i was just looking around for flys that would work.

I use mostly a modified version of a dahlberg diver, made to look more like a frog but deer hair still, deer hair swimmers, deer hair poppers ( I love deer hair
bugs)and flatwing streamers.Woolly buggers and zonker strip streamers work for me too
Just got a few new patterns to try from others on this site, really great info on here |

it's a 150 acre pond with lilly pads and the deepest is 9 feet, then it runs off into a stream. there are smallmouths, largemouths, carp, and bluegill.
there are lilly pads and rocks in the stream, but only weeds and lilly pads in the stream, some streamer pattens and deerhair patterns. but they can't be
to big.

Sounds to me like perfect Goldie water - do a search for "Goldie" and you'll see the pattern - it's a killer!
