Well...The last 2 weekends I hit some local ponds and finally gave this ole Fenwick girl a try... WOW....Move Over Wonderod, your still #1, but make room for this sweetheart... she loads great and throws a ton of line...this is going to be my bass buggin rod I think.. (sorry for the poorly focused pictures)
Well, I've been experimenting & fishing a lot of different colored patterns of of Bill Bodie Braid material, Black (leech), Purple & Green (Bluegill), pearl and light blue (Shad), Green and copper (yellow perch).... surprizingly, all of these produced strikes and a variety of fish every 5-6 casts or so...

I was fishing around the edge of pond's lilly pads early & mid afternoon... top water action with the floating Goldie looked inviting but, was
uneventlful for me last weekend, a few swurls, but nothing else.... Mr various goldie pattern worked like a charm... caught about 30 fish each afternoon... no
size per say but ton of strikes and variety of fish... very enjoyable

I will post some pictures of the Bill's Bodie Braid material/patterns, plus the floating goldie that I have experimented with see if it sparks any
interest.... hope all are catching a boat load of fish
Tight lines
