Here are some photos of a bass I caught last year on a Jitterbug. Taking photos in close quarters of a 12 ft canoe. I dropped the fish. He wasn't jumping -
I reached down without a flashlight at night. Just as I grabbed him, he jumped planting the hook in the top of my hand. The fish and I were caught and we were
jumping around. I wanted to release the fish as soon as possible. I grabbed the pliers and yanked the hook out then released the fish for another day. I
figured that if I wrapped with my handerchef I could fish all night. Wasn't a good idea - I went home.

You are right. I'm a whimp. The whole incident brought back memories. My dad and I were fishing I was in the bow of our 17 ft Old Town Canoe. My dad was in
the stern. While fishing I noticed my dad wasn't casting. My parents were both deaf. I had to turn around. I shoke the canoe to get my dad's attention.
I ask why are you not fishing. He didn't say anything then I noticed The Jitterbig hanging on his arm. We beached the canoe. I realized I had to push the
barb out and cut the point off. I did. The blood got to me. I sat down and just wanted to heave. A few minutes later were fishing again.
Spinze wrong blood it was Neuman's Own. Hope it doesn't happen to anyone else. |
