i started fly fishin last january with a old hand-me-down 5wt and im lookin for somthing lighter than that and under $150

Welcome aboard, Sedley. If you are looking for a rod under $150, try one of the outfits offered by Bass Pro... you get the rod & reel for $114 with a #2
or #3. I think Cabela's has similar deals, as do a few other operations.
But check with your local fly shop, too, and see if they are carrying anything in that price range. Mike |

Curious as to what your old hand me down rod is? Some of us here are fond of old glass rods too. Newer isn't necessairly better. Don't get me wrong I
have and use graphite too but you might have a good rod and not know it.

Hi Sedley!
Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's are full of nice outfits under $150...and they are light in hand. Get a nice little 4wt in a 7' or 7' 6" model and you will have fun with bluegills and bass with it! Cheers, Robert |
