Well I started a post that got lost in the yoko shuffle so I thought I might relist a version. I was looking for a general flybox for warm water fishing
(bakers dozen) and was hoping to have some posts of everyones favorites or go to flies. recipes and pictures would be great.

Here's a few ...
Taps Bug (red/white, chartreuse/white) sneaky pete (chartreuse) calico clouser goldie fly and spinner combo's Lefty's Red and White white marabou muddler bluegill itsabug rubber spider damsel fly nymphs dragon fly nymphs wooly bugger fly rod spinnerbait humbug the theif ribbit frog I also tie a fly that has a rubber curly tail, led eyes, short shank body with cactus chenille and a crystal flash skirt in front of the tail. Oh goodness it kills everything that swims in warm water. I tie 'em with purple, black and root beer tails. Have never named it but those that see it in action say "Gimme!!" Alec |

alec, funny yu should mention that short shank leadeye curly tail fly. I am from washington state and most of my fishing has been for trout, steelhead, and
salmon. When living in bellingham WA I was told by some people that lake whatcom had smallmouth that averaged 3lbs under every dock. this is a lake of pretty
good size and is not a warm water lake. I went to the local fly shop ( that is gone now) and he handed me a fly to your exact description and on my first cast
to a dock I hooked and landed a smallmouth of about 4lbs. I figured that this bass fishing is cake. I have not had that luck since actuallly putting effort
to it. thanks for the fly recomendations,

my #1 bass fly is a little deerhair diver tied bentback. You can toss the little #2 or #4 bug into anyplace you can toss a plastic worm; they are weedless;
you canfish the mossbeds, the weeds, timber, etc. Its my go to bass bait. If its not working I go to a miss prissy for bass and brim-p-
