Members of the STS Round Table,
Apologize for the website corruptions. Our annual September STS flyfishing gathering is fast approaching & will be held at Middle/Mystic Pond in Barnstable, MA on Saturday, September 8, 2007. We will meet at Dunkin Donuts (coffee is on me) at Martons Mills, MA at 9:00 a.m. and we will caravan from there to the fishing hole. Dunkin Donuts is located on 3821 Falmouth Rd, Marstons Mills, MA. I am having difficulty hyperlinking the directrions. Please Google it or use map quest. We neeed to get a head count of who can attend and water vessels so that we can pair up as needed. The weather has been warm and should be excellent fishing opportunity. Alec, Myself and Montana Kid will be attendance so far so please let us know so we know how much food to prepare for. Alec claims he is going home with the STS trophy this year, we'll see...it will be pretty hard to beat last year's cookathon. Please reply if you can make it... Bad news from the North Central Mass contingent... I've got a wedding to attend on the 8th. Had it in my head that the Sept. gathering was the 15th when I spoke to you the other day, Alec. Normally a wedding wouldn't be something I'd want to go to, but this is the daughter of close friends, and a girl I saw grow from birth to this. She took her first steps for me and I wouldn't miss her wedding. I hope you all understand.

Whew, thought I lost you guys! I had to find this thread with a round about search. So, looks like I can make it ( good thing since I have the trophy :-) I'm wondering about the boat situation though. Should I bring a canoe, 2 person craft or yak it? How many are confirmed? How many need a float?

Right now there are 3 confrimed Flytackle, Wee Hooker, and Gillbuster... MontanaKid maybe, won't know til Thurdays... Is Tom out there? anyone else that may be able to make it... B52? I will come by and pick you up and drop you back off

Fantastic! Thats 4 members....Any other folks that can join in for some flyfishing fun and good eats.....Hey Jeffsod are you out there? Can you make it, even if its later in the afternoon? I will be bring a coleman stove to cook up some stuff and a table. I will also bring my 10' Pelican 2 seater. Wee, are you bringing a boat, car top/canoe/yak? it is ideal for this body of water, ....you can buddy up with me it will be tight but okay....

Thanks John. I'll bring something as two guys flyfishing in a 10 footer might turn into a expensive sword fight :-)
I can bring my 15' Stowe canoe if you want to ride with me. Otherwise, I'll likely bring something smaller like a yak , solo canoe or a 12' UL jon boat .
Let me know.
Still trying t figure out how to fit some of these craft onto the new short bed truck??

p.s. Are these ponds generally windy? Are motors allowed? Is there drive up access or will we be portaging any distance?

Tom is not coming. Involved in local development project & will be schlepping through wet lands & going to meetings this weekend. I am truly sorry. There one thing for sure I'm consistant.

Lou - Come on down! The more the merrier. I am bringing my neighbor Max - He is 13 years old and quite a fisherman. He can take the front of the Duck Bucket since Tom isn't coming. We'll see you guys at Dunkin' Donuts! Alec

Look forward to seeing you all in the morning, Wee, I think I will use my boat to take pictures of of the STS gang. Caddis call me at 617-283-3656... even if you're late and I will meet you at Dunkin Donuts and take you to the lake. Jeffsod Tom, you are going to miss some good Grub!
