Well, if I won the lottery and it was a massive jackpot, I'd carve out enough time to visit multiple destinations! Each place I went, I'd take along a friend so that I could enjoy the company of a brother of the angle. Stops would include a return to Alaska in late September after the crowds have gone and the rainbows are FAT on the eggs and flesh of spent spawning salmon and still feeding voraciously in advance of the long winter. I'd do another Northern Latitude trip for spring brookies since I know at least one guy who would eagerly accompany me on that one. I would also like to spend a late spring week on a Maine (or maybe Minnesota) lake teeming with fat smallies.

Working my way south, I'd spend some time exploring the coastal flats and mangrove rivers of Central America for a variety of species, including bonefish, tarpon, snook, snapper, cobia, then I would join you in the Amazon basin for some peacock bass... but I'd venture far upstream as well and try for dorado (not the dorado also known as dolphin/mahi mahi). I would then make my way to the Patagonias for some trout fishing before winding up on the coastal rivers of the Tiera del Fuego for sea-run brown trout.

At some point I'd also figure out a way to get to the Seychelles. I wouldn't start there, however, for fear I'd never want to leave.

It's like so many kinds of fish/fishing wrapped up in one exotic experience. Polling flats style for bones or stripers, sight casting to rolling fish in a scene that reminds me a lot of Alaska, a hard-fighting, jumping fish like a smallmouth bass.  What's not to love?

I don't know if you've ever seen the show "River Monsters," but of those 1400 species, it seems that 1300 of them will put your life in danger!  There are some real nasty creatures swimming in that river, and some of the smaller ones are the creepiest.
