Had the great pleasure to spend the afternoon at a friends secluded smallie honey hole. A warm front blew thru last night in New England and we awoke to light rain and cloudy gray skies. But by midday the sky began to brighten and the wind to abate. From there on it just kept on getting nicer and nicer and we ultimately had a stunning sunset which I truly enjoyed on the ride home after a fine day chasing smallies in a jewel of a kettle pond.
Its afternoons like to today that get you thru the long cooold winter.
