12 ft canoe or kayak, we miss soo many opportunities to have a photo taken of your self with a big fish. I got a four foot piece of firing strip use to
securing drywall to ceiling joists. One end I put a 1/4-20x4" machine screw with two nuts to anchor screw to the baord, towards the end (not the end with
head of screw), I use 1/4-20 machine nylon stop nut so I attach camera and get a few threads into the camera and it stops at certain direction. I bent the
screw so I would be center with big fish. Other end of the board I use 10-32x3" machine screw going opposite direction of the camera screw, This goes into
a hole I drill in my stabilizer bar. So the camera doesn't fall off the bow of the canoe (can be used in kayak).
Big fish, turn camera on set timer 10 seconds, place on bow, pick up the fish and hold for the camera. See photos see for storage - even in rainy condition I place in the bow compartment.
