Nice fly. The hook is shielded by the deer hair making it weedless - Great idea!

Nice work I like that concept better than mono weed guards. How do you assure that the hook rides up?

1. hook is bent at the hook eye, then again about 1/4 inch below the hook eye putting the hook point up and the bend at the curve of the hook lower than the
hook eye.
2. the materials are tied on the top of the bend at the hook eye. Sometimes I wrap 2-3 wraps of lead wire on the bend opposite the hook point. The fly will hit the water, then right itself naturally because of the curvature of the hook. notice the hookpoint is opened to aid hook ups.
