I love it. Those are some ugly flies and no shop would sell them, but they obviously work! Just goes to prove that most flies are tied to catch fishermen (at the cash register). Pretty doesn't mean the fish will like it any better... what matters is that you put something in front of them that resembles in size and shape what they happen to be eating. Some aesthetics matter when it comes to a true-running streamer, for example, but other than that I'm less concerned with how a fly looks than I am as to whether it takes fish.
