Hi Clyde;
Great fly and Joe Cornwall's tutorial is excellent!
Study Joe's tutorial then when you choose what you think is enough material, half it! That was my biggest problem in tying this fly. The fly tends to be
fairly weedless as tied. I use congo hair from fly tiers dungeon,very similar to puglisi fibers. This was my most succesfull bass fly this season!

good luck tying;

That's one of the flies I have yet to tie -- it's on my list.... It looks great and I'm sure it will catch fish. Do you use any weight, or bend
back hooks?
KEEP YOUR LINE WET.
IN HIS LOVE,

Hi Cornmuse;
Again a fantastic demonstration on tying! This was very timely for me since I've been trying to tie this pattern and my 1st attempts were waayy to thick
and heavy! Your instructions and hints helped me tremendously. I've been using Fly Tiers Dungeon "congo hair" instead of Puglisi fibers but
they appear to be very similar.

Also, your book on fly fishing for smallmouth bass in rivers is fantastic!

thanks;
