I finally was able to find Fly Fish America Magazine! My local shop stopped carrying it for some reason, but now they have it again....

I have a question. The bug you have on this post has a flared deerhair collar that looks to act like a weed guard, in the magazine you had a mono weed guard. I know bass don't know the difference, but do you like one of the guards better?

The only reason I ask is I seem to miss some fish due to the mono weed guard. Being fairly new at spinning deer hair I was excited to see the deer hair collar. I'm assuming the mono guard is better for thicker cover, but I have never really fished a bug with a deer hair collar.

On a recent trip to Cabelas I found Jay Fair Saddles reduced from $42 to $9! I stocked up, so I'll be making quite a few of Armand's Snake Bugs for next season.

I cannot find Fly Fish America Magazine anywhere. My local fly shop doesn't carry the magazine and Cabelas didn't have it!
