I have been doing a bit of night fishing for Trout this fall and it got my interest in learning a bit more. So I came across a recommendation for an old book
called "Taking Larger Trout" by Lawrence R. Koller. This book has a whole chapter dedicated to fly fishing for trout at night. Well I just received
my copy and have to say it is a very fine book. It is well written and contains a lot of timeless information. It was written or published in 1950 and
reprinted in 1952. Seems that...

The author seems to think that if you want to catch large trout then night time is the right time. Period. But he does say that if you want to catch trout at
all during the warm months aka doldrums then again night time is the right time. He makes the argument that many larger fish don't feed during the day
especially in low clear waters. Also, they are less fussy and will take flies you would never normally consider including bass bugs.

if you enjoy collecting or reading old fishing books. Highly recommend.
