I always look forward to our fly swap and auction here, so any ideas or concepts on this years flys? The Bass pond is just that, so of course Bass flys are in
the mix, but alot of us fish alot more for Crappie and Bluegill in those same waters, so what will this years fly swap and auction target? Im for sure in,
just need to know if we have a theme or target this year,

Friendly reminder,
Dust off your Vices, get out your tying material, it's going to be another "Fur, Feather, & Hackle Smorgasbord" again this year's at the
Bass Pond fly swap starting January 2010... Wayne made a great suggestion to tie this season in honoring pioneer Fly tyers who have left their fly legacy
behind for us to enjoy... Great tyers such as Jack Gartside, Russ Blessing, Ed Story, George Odier and other tyers which you may want to tribute. Let me know
if there are any special tyer who should be mentioned.... Looking forward to a great fly swap

Oops! I wasn't thinking, as far as tyers contributing to warm water that passed away this year.

How about the folowing two: Ed Story of Feathercraft, many of his patterns work well in warm water applications

Georges Odier, although not a warm water fisher or tier some of his favorite patterns work well in warm water applications, especially the renegade.

Wayne,
That is a absolutely great idea and a very nice acknowledgement to these pioneer fly tyers.... I am all for that concept: Does anyone have any other
suggestions for honorable fly tyers ... I do think we should try to emphasize towards warm-water fly patterns

Honorable fly tyers:
Jack Gartside
Russell Blessing

Let hear some replies from the group

How about honoring great tyers who have passed away in 2009, such as Jack Gartside??

Shoot, you could do a warm water swap based on variations of his patterns aloner!
