Finally was able to shoot a pic of one of the flies I tied. I have varied the pattern a little this is just one variation. Some of the others got fished
already

Will post a pic this week once I get a chance to shoot one of the flies I tied. Mine aren't too pretty yet but I am refining it. Fish don't seem to
mind. I am not working off a formal pattern though I wonder if Art included one in his other book on tying. If anyone has that book and can shed some light on
that I would appreciate it.

Muddlers are one of the most awesome flies I have used this year... If I had to survive in the wild, and only could carry 3 flies; this would one of my top 3
flies that would be in my fly box...they catch everything... Jeff is absolutely right, any interpretation of the muddler is a deadly combination...when you can
demonstrate the tying instructions, can't wait to try your shiner muddler...The more I fish them the more I am impressed with them.

Two bluegills, one crappie and a largemouth. All in ten minutes. It was late afternoon maybe an hour and a quarter before sunset with calm wind making the
surface like glass. The pond surface was littered with leaves and white pine needles blown off in the very strong winds that accompanied yesterdays frontal
passage. All four fish struck the fly with attitude!

Guess I have to tie up some more of them. I just received the hair to tie it from Chris Helm and cannot recommend him enough for your deer hair needs.
