If you are getting on in your years and not quite a flexible as you once were, a Bass Boat is one of the most comfortable boats to fish from and ideal for fly
fishing. Carpet for your tired feet, a nice "Pro Seat " to lean on to help you sore back and bucket seats to sit in when you go places. The floor
plan is two large flat surfaces from which to fish - no oars, gas cans, batteries, paddles, anchors, ropes, etc. HOWEVER, the colors are just plain so very,
very wrong - Tri color...

I was at Newfound Lake in NH a couple of weekends ago (no license, so I didn't fish... just canoed around and checked out a bald eagle and the scenery).
Near the inlet is a broad sandbar and you can see the many scars along the bottom where folks dragged their lower units through the sand, mud, and gravel.
Judging by the length of some of these trails, I'd say more than a few of them were speeding along and not paying attention.

I agree with Tom on many of pro and con points, though. I've fly fished from a few bass boats and found it pleasant. Besides, my beef isn't with the
boats, it's with the clowns often found behind the wheel of such boats.

very wrong - Tri color Metal Flake with four tire trailers painted the same color with mag wheels???. Then of course comes my biggest beef and that is the size
of the engines they sell on these boats. In the Northeast there is not a place I can think of that requires 300 HP engines that ride on the skeg of the engine
at up to 100 MPH. If you say Lake Champlain - I say it's half New York & dosen't count. Lake Winnepesaukee has implemented a 50 MPH speed limit -
yeh! At full speed, I'll bet you...
