Well the Goldie was nothing less than stellar today...fished a pond that I have driven by many times saying " I should fish that pond"...well today I
took a chance and "fished that pond" and introduced it to the Goldie...Boy was I rewarded with some healthy bass...The gills were small and
numerous...the stout bass more than made up for them. I was using my 4wt cause I thought the pan fish fishing would be good...wow... I was surprised &
rewarded with four 3+ pound bass...

Great report Gillbuster!! Goldies the first fly I reach for except when I want a little surface action then I reach for the muddler and with the new flash
dancer muddler you have the best of both.

Pretty sure that the Goldie is and always will be my "go to" fly on the cape...I've caught more fish on that fly than any other fly in my box.
Love it! and it's so easy to tie, what else could you ask for....?
