I've got one of those Orvis canvas gear bags. It's not a very efficient system, but I do like tossing it in the back of the car when I head to the shore. I keep saltwater stuff in it.

Nice bag. I like the fact that the boxes are horizontal. I can remember back when the same Orvis Bag you have, held everything I needed for fly fishing - EVERYTHING. Now I need the entire back end of a SUV with the back seats down.

I've asked Santy Claus for that bag for a few years but Mrs. Claus hasn't come through yet!

Please keep us posted on how this bag/box combo works for you, I'm curious as to how it best works for you both on and off the water.

Alec, glad to see you picked up a set of those. I was looking at them last season in the catalog and was curious about them. Looks like a good way to store a lot of flies.
