I received a speeding ticket on this highway so make sure you do the speed limit only...They monitor this in unmarked cars at random points...The speed limit is only 55mph, NOT 65mph like I thought.

Route 2 West to Exit 16 (just past the Athol/Orange line). You'll pass over Rohunta shortly before the exit (and if you want to, you can pull off RT2 on the right and launch in the north basin right there...).

Take a right at the end of the ramp onto RT 202 (Daniel Shays Highway) and then a left after a couple hundred yards onto Eagleville Road.

At the end of Eagleville Road, the ramp is on the right.

I'll be there but due to a family commitment, may not be able to leave untill 7-730. If that's the case, I'll have to drive teh 2+ hrs right to the ramp to catch up. Can we post some directions (or street address) to the ramp for anyone (myself included) that might arrive late?

Not sure what i'll be bringing for vittles yet but it will be good.

First of all, welcome Cuemaker03!... glad to have you aboard, we are all looking forward to meeting & fishing with you, bring your best flies and appetite, it will be a great time! You should be able to double up with Spinney or Caddis4 or whoever has an extra seat, we'll decide at the landing. Cuemaker, here is Lake Rohunta map. Bring a 6-8 wt flyrod with floating line and top water flies. htis is a classic bass buggin/bass poppers adventure. There are some nice sized panfish in here also light weight flyrod might come in handy also. We take lots of pictures to post on the website, catch and release fish, brag about the one that gets away, eat like kings during our shore lunch and...

Not to jinx the outing, but the current forecast for Saturday is cloudy and low wind (2mph) w/temps in the mid '70s. Ideal bass fishing weather!

BTW, put me down for a snack/dessert. I know from experience that there will be waaaay too much chow once the chuck wagon opens, so rather than load anyone down with another entree, I'm packing some goodies for on the water or after the feast. And I don't mean to disappoint anyone, but there will be no mac salad this year. US Army Corps. of Engineers comandeered the container for use in repairing the damaged levees down in Louisiana.

OK Folks - September is just around the corner - here's the skinny:

The Annual September Tisdale Outing is to be held Saturday September 13, at Lake Rohunta, Orange MA. We will meet at 9:00 am at Flagg's Bait and Tackle, 189 Daniel Shay Highway, Orange MA.
There is suitable space at the launch for a shore lunch, and the cup will be awarded, so come prepared to eat!!
Rohunta is shallow and very weedy, so thick tippets and weedless flies are the order of the day. This is not a wadable spot, and even float tubes might be questionable. Canoes and car toppers suggested.
Let's get a count of who will be attending please, and what room you have in your boat.
With gas prices the way they are we might also arrange carpooling.
I'm bringing the Duck Bucket and oars to this one, and imagine Max will be in the bow seat.
