Hope someone posts some photos soon... all I can say is I was blown away by the quality of the fishing on Saturday. I set three personal bests for biggest pumpkinseed, bluegill, and calico bass (black crappie for you non-New Englanders). Wasn't weighing them, but there was no doubt about that fact. The bluegill were enormous and I know I caught at least three that were on the plus side of 1lb, the 'seeds were not far behind (!) and that calico I caught was unbelievably huge. By the time we called it a night, I'd caught largemouth, smallmouth, bluegill, calico, pickerel, yellow perch (huge!... maybe my 4th personal best), and pumpkinseed. Since Mass doesn't recognize a difference between bluegill and pumpkinseed for a pin, I would have taken home at least two pins (sunfish, calico), possibly three (the perch) for one day's work.

Hi All,

Saturday was incredible. The fellowship was over-the-top. From the moment my son-in-law (Mike) and I arrived and were met by John and Alec everyone bent over backwards to make us feel included and welcome. I instantly felt like I was among long time friends. It doesn't get any better than great food and fishing. John, thanks for the Goldie, I hope to replace it the next time I see you.

HI GUYS !! with 2 softball games in the morning, a teeball game in the afternoon, and a graduation in the early evening, i don't think i can make it saturday !!! I was thinking sunday morning might be doable. either way I hope you guys have a great time and i hope to see lots of great pics from this event !!

I will be arriving around 1pm. I might be interested in borrowing a float tube actually but will have waders and fins. Where is everyone going to be meeting?

Guys,
I have 3 extra pairs of fins, 3 extra set of waders and 2 extra float tubes I am bringing. If anyone who needs to give float tubing a try, feel free to borrow one. Max, unless you've grown 6 inches since Sept, I have a smaller pair of waders that should fit you, you're welcome to. All these surounding ponds close by and are easy access for dropping a belly boat into. Canoes and Yaks are also good for these ponds. Weather looks real favorable this weekend for fishing 60-80's. I will have a BBQ fired up, slow cooking some goodies on Saturday for lunch and after our fishing adventures, all can grab some grub, relax, sit around the camp and swap fishing stories...
What time in the morning do folks want meet?

Armand, thats a cool photo and it defines the nature of the largemouth. I was catching very similar small agressive largemouth bass this weekend out of the Nemasket river. I look forward to meeting you and all the others at the coming Tisdale gathering.

Gang, Looking forward to meeting everyone. If anyone needs any addtional Fly fishing, equipment please post it. I have an extra bunk in my camper if anyone wants to stay overnight during the week end. Alec is bringing some fly tying supplies in case any new and neat flies need to be tied or swapped. I am bringing some stuff also. I am bringing a 2, 4 & 6wt fly rod to tussle with these crusty old Bull gills. I intend to try to catch a fish off of eash one of the flies tied during our last STS fly swap. Hopefully we will have a bunch of pictures of the gang having a great time & good food... Can't wait, hope all can make it even if it is just for a couple of hours... see you on the water Gillbuster

Dick if you read the MA write up it notes that it is:

"An access suitable for cartop boats and canoes "

So not suitable for trailered boats that require a ramp.

Activities usually consist of fishing, some more fishing then a little more fishing. Lunch and then more fishing

Hi All,
I'm new to the group and this will be my first gathering. I'll be there at least for Saturday and will be bringing my son-in-law. I'm not sure how the gathering works, (food, gear, activities, etc.). Do the ponds support boats or just canoes and smaller? I look forward to hanging out with you and making new friends. Any information you can provide would be appreciated.

I have extra float tubes, I will bring them, I have some of extras fins, trying to find them... Will bring extra waders also just in case. You will love float tubing, gets you close to the water/fish and very comfortable fishing. Looking forward to meeting you. See you on the water

Lou it's generally a potluck - We all just bring whatever and trust that it'll get eaten... it always does! No worry's though if you don't bring anything - there's always enough to go around. The Tisdale cup is not awarded until our September gathering. In a pinch remember... you can never have too much soda and chips!

Guys - I have gone ahead and reserved a campsite,for the weekend of June 6, '08. You don't have to camp overnite to attend, but if you want to, nows the time to
book the sites as the weekend slots go quickly. June will be here before you know it! Alec
