See United Fly Tyers web site.

In 1950 Joe Brooks wrote Salt Water Fly Fishing. In the patterns he mentions Joe Brooks/Upperman Bug. I got two bugs but found them too heavy to use with my 8 1/2 ft Shakespeare Glass rod. Being a fanatic bug tyer I decided to make a lighter version using deer hair. I will be tying this bug thursday evening. This bug has made my day for fresh and salt water bass fishing on top. I going to brag a little. Using this bug and my 8 1/2 ft rod with (one size heavier line) WF-9-F I had the most fun - making 90 - 100 ft casts. The biggest striper I got on this outfit in Taunton River was 18 pounds, just pure fun to fish with

I responded to a posting on the trading floor of the Fly Tying Forum.com for an assortment of Panfish or Bluegill flies which I received today. I think the
seller might have one assortment left. I just wanted to say for someone who doesn't tie or just wants to add some variety to their box this was an
excellent deal. I love the flies I received. Nice assortment in a very cool presentation (thread tube).

tight. They should pick up a bit of water and ride low, or even just below the surface throwing a big wake.
