Yesterday, I was at the office inb Stow, Massachusetts. Cloudy and it was calm. I got there around 10:30 am and was suppose to fish a few hours, I got home at 5 pm. The place was alive with damsel flies, small fish was feeding on them. Pickerel was cruising for a bruising. The tally over thirty pickerel gave up counting from 6 inch to biggies and 7 largemouths. The fly of choice was my dragon fly (B52). Some body had to be at the office, oh well.

Gillbuster is an Air Force veteran, gentleman, fly tyer and fisherman. Friends are God's gift to us.

I was a little disappointed with the weather. Wind was suppose to be light. It kept blowing and changing direction. Still it was a joy to be on the pond. John was in his kayak and I in the canoe. I didn't want to crowd him so I kept my distance. I just watch John using his new addition a beautiful 9 ft Shakespeare glass rod with 10 wgt line.

Beautiful day here in the Northeast after yesterdays scorcher. Decided to get out for some fresh air and wet a line for a bit. Read somewhere a quote by some well known fisherman maybe Lee Wulff but cannot really recall that you should fish where and when you can.

Light Northly breezes bluebird skies and a comfortable 70 degrees made it such that it wouldn't matter if you caught anything today. Just nice to be there. Small fairly shally little kidney shaped warmwater pond with enough lily pad coverage to have some decent size bass. Unfortunately most of the better coverage is on the far shore from the access and theres not enough time at lunch to get over there and really work it. So I am happy to have a nice break in the trees on the SW corner to allow for some nice lunch time casting practice.

Today I worked several long casts out towards the middle near the south end where the shade line is as I saw a fish moving on top. Covering a lot of water. From last week the action is in deeper water. Got over 25 pickerel, biggest three pounds. Had some terrific top water hits and managed to miss the fish. I got one bass about two pounds. - I believe things will change around 2 nd week in June - when the female bass are off the beds.

I have been fishing hard. I caught my first five pound bass on July 9, 1959 = it weighed 5 pounds, 1 3/4oz taken on a Jitterbug. I have been trying over fifty
years for a ten pounder. Maybe this year. I have been fishing Delaney WMA Pond for three weeks at least three days a week, I have be catching and missing fish.
Some of the fish chase the lure or bug, or some ambush through the pads. I naturally assumed they were Largemouth. I have come to the conclusion that these
were not bass they were Pickeral. These fish are so large I want to say Pike but I don't believe there are any in the pond. It's heavily weeded, lily
pads and tree stumps.

I can say from the strikes and playing large Pickeral they actually scare me. Normally I would say fifteen pound Bluefish scare me they are crazy

And overstuffed yellow Perch! Had the pleasure to connect with Gillbuster and fish for some gator Pickerel and fat yellow perch today. Gillbuster and I have
had some fantastic outings together and today we added another fine one to the memory bank. A huge thanks goes out to our host the owner of the property and
the boat which made this great outing possible. I think the pictures speak for themselves. The fishing was about as good as it gets in November. Some of these
pickerel were absolut gators who dominated the fights and basically flipped us off as they tor away every time we tried to coax them to the boat.
